Has any one else had a stall like this ? It started at four weeks out and hasn't let up. I am trying to do what I am supposed to and the scale isn't moving. I am wondering if I am a failure. I have lost 16 pounds since surgery. I had expected more. I wonder am I expecting to much? I wanted to lose 105 pounds  but I scared it won't happen.I did lose 15 on my liquid diet before surgery so I lost better then than after surgery.

Susie are you saying that you have lost 16 pounds since surgery and lost some before surgery so you have lost a total of 31 pounds or just a grand total of 16?
ifyou have lost a grand total of 31 pounds you have done way nmore than most at this stage out....even if it is only 16 total it isnt bad,.your body plays catch up and i know if it flustrating but you are certainly not the first one to say i guess im a failure at this , your not and yes you will lose more just keep increasing your protein intake , maybe more of the liquid protein because we use that better with our new plumbing than reg protein...i never did exercise in the early months when i should have but i just couldnt it was impossible for me to move much any way only lately have i been exercising.
you will lose just want you to know that
keep on keeping on just like you are suppose to do...dont eat any carbs or sugar and you will lose one day you will get on the scale and wow. wow wow...
love you girl...

Most if not all of us have hit the "cursed/blessed" stall.  I sure did.

Remember your body has just undergone a major change.  It is adjusting to the new way of working.  You will start to lose again,  it may be a little slower but as long as you are doing what your Dr and Nutritionist have written for you, you will lose again.

Hang in there,

Millie

That is normal too. You will have stalls occasionally. Try to change up your diet.....more dense protein....you will be just fine!

HI I had the sleeve done 11-26 and have lost a total of 35 pounds...17 before surgery....I have also wondered why I am losing "slow" . After reading a lot of posts, I think this is the way most people lose....slower than the pound a day or so I was expecting....but all we can do is follow the guidelines, do what our drs advise, and hang with the program. Good Luck and be strong!!!!

Susie,
I am not losing very quickly either. I lost 15 pounds on my pre-op liquid diet. I had surgery on the 17th of November and have only lost 12 pounds since then. I did not lose anything for 2 weeks and the last week I lost 2 pounds. I have been very frustrated but know that it is not possible for me to not eventually lose weight no more than I am eating. I have not been excercising becuase my knees hurt to bad when I do. The excercise specialist says i need to swim but going and doing that is harder than it seems.
Hang in there and we will eventually lose. We may not be quick but even if we average 2 pounds per week we will lose 100 pounds in a year.

Oh Thank you for posting this!  I too have had a stall and I'm almost 4 weeks out!  I lost 28 pounds in the 5 week pre-op diet and then 2 weeks out I lost another 8 pounds and nothing sense. I know I'm not getting in enough water or protein, so yep I am getting on the stick and getting it done. If that is what it takes I'll get to it!
